Another week older and deeper in debt. You can't help but always be deeper in debt. It's the sine-qua-non of global economic growth! Compound Interest, probably the greatest evil to face the human species. Hooray.

Nothing fits, that's the theme, today, this weekend. I was feeling docile, secret, tired - it's the hibernating time, the time to fall into scarcity. Holidays are approaching and I do not want to observe them. It's a big, difficult confluence of all the things that upset me. Obligation, and tradition and my parents, and my daughter's other parent, and an interruption of my patterns. And especially the cold. It got so cold I could barely bear to leave my house.

We did.

Once we sorted out who's shoes were whose. Dinner with friends on Saturday, pizza delivered and cartoons on Friday, laying around lazily all day Sunday, holed up in the snow.

Ran into Travis at the Waldorf school's open house. He and his wife are thinking of it for their daughter. I couldn't speak up about it. "School is a waste of time." Says I. I said it.

Not the biggest waste of time, but a big one.

Woke up today in the cold and felt Anger. Just a boundless hate for whatever power passes for the divine in this fucking world. You can tell there is no god because it gets cold. You can tell there is a god that is wicked and must be destroyed because the temperature drops below 20. If I have an enemy, it is the sky.

My vacation days refresh in January - when's good for you man?

I'm thinking of taking off a week in march to rock the Film Festival - it's a birthday present I've kept meaning to get myself but never do, you could come for that if you wanted also.

I may or may not be back in NYC for January for a work thing, but would prob have some free time there. But so far my New Year is looking pretty free.

no, being mad about debt is funny to me, especially since it is so christian.

It's only not funny when you accidentally take a phonecall from debt collectors. I'm tired of explaining to them that I will never pay them.
