(no subject)

In the words of the poets: It is HARD out there for a pimp. The cold doesn't want to abate, in fact it just wants to get meaner - this applies not just to the sky but to my insides as well. This cold will not go away at all, I'm a cough sneeze machine all day long and a lot of that day is spent standing around outside waiting on a bus - so I'm probably going to die any time now.


Yep, any day. If they find me in the spring, I hope that the robin is nesting in my skull, that it's laid it's little blue eggs where my brains used to go so I can have nice blue brains (you can see 'em work!) and that my insides will have been filled with daffodil bulbs and I'll sprout up beautifully come April.

For real? I'm not at all down about situations in the weather. I mean - I have the appropriate amount of dismay - it's a little dismaying that this happens, cause really, if this went on in better than half of the populated world - it would be an enormous, calamitous disaster. Here, it's just January. Even if every January is a huge disaster, well, we survive and it's not especially discouraging right now. Somewhat astonishingly in fact I'm bearing the depths of winter with aplomb. Enduring cold, you know it builds character. That's why I'm such a straight shooter, such a trueheart.

Anyhow, it is cold, and snowing and bitterly both most of the time these days and that's not wonderful, but it isn't crushingly bad either, it's just the thing to keep you at home and solitary come the new year's eve, and there you are - no age-guilt, no sense of a lost opportunity. In fact, yes, I avoided that extra opportunity to get my own free pneumonia! What a loss. But all in all the cabin fever is beginning to suit me. Holidays over and all I have to show for it is that I bought myself a new bed. Finally.
