So last week we went on this whole journey - a little bit of an odyssey. Probably, I made a mess of it all by wanting to keep up a pace of high activity & variety - but still. A journey. We began early last saturday when I went to get a car and then brought the car home and took young Agatha to New York. We went first to Niagra Falls & I felt a little badly.
It's a 3 hour trip, and many were the instances in college when I'd just say, "Eh, fuck it, let's go to Niagra Falls tonight." And do just that. It's been since college, and though it's among the continent's wonders I've never taken kiddo to see it. So at last, this was done. It was pretty cool too.

Passports aren't in order so we didn't go to Canada, but I've no taste for casinos anyhow, so it's not a loss, from my perspective.

This has been sitting here unfinished as an entry for a while now. I keep meaning to address it & then add in the pictures when I have them upoaded to flickr but it seems that I or Agatha took a lot of harry-potter style photos so that if you look at them on the phone they move around, but these apparently don't like going to flickr. Whatever.
I had a nice trip, a real journey - saw some neat things, met a nice baby & got to hold her even. Walked and walked. We saw museums & ate fancy suppers. Stayed in hotels & had a first weird/bad experience of Air B&B & overall experienced adventure on the road. We listened to a youtuber for most of the trip - a guy who reads SCP entries - and actually does it quite well. A bit of music & a bit of anomolous traffic jams & stopped cars in the middle of PA - what's a trip to NYC without this right? Without some wreck or accident causing a five mile line of cars to stand still in the middle of the ceaseless woods of Penn.
