I don't actually believe in paleolithic people who didn't link sex & babies. I don't even really believe in accounts of hunter gatherers who don't, though it isn't unthinkable that some groups develop dogma that inhibit basic logic. STILL though you are right that the Cult of Mother is condescending & patriarchal..."hey ladies, you can't have equal rights but motherhood is like magic, so don't worry about it!"
