Flipping through charts is entirely more intervention from the rules than I want, is my point. As I've said many times, rules for me are the "little white lies" of the hobby. My table typically doesn't have a single book cracked on it, nor do I have players fumbling with their character sheets (very often). Rolemaster doesn't support that style of play at all. I ain't mad about it but it ain't for me.
