Wanting autonomy is not inhuman at all. I was saying this yesterday, but culture is pretty dumb for selling us the Coupledom At All Costs thing. I still say hold out for separate houses. Separate cities, even. It's not weird to need that and not be willing to give it up for a person toward whom you didn't even feel all that much, it sounds.
Maybe you are not broken up about this at all, but I just want to say, you're a good person. Don't let the jerks tell you differently.
