Classifying each thing as having an elemental component of its essential self is a satisfactory idea to import, there's a tastiness to the snicker-snack of it between your teeth no?
It's one of those ur-ideas that has been extrapolated into a paradigm that's not always compelling, but that's clearly not the solitary evolution of that idea.
