Corona Part 2

kingtycoonSo this is 1 week of not going out. Or, not going out much.
My license is expired now. I can't go get it renewed but I understand it won't be a matter where I'll have to take the test again. I hope it's not a situation where I have to take the test again. Shoot.
My glasses were ready to be picked up but they can't be picked up. The place is closed closed closed.
I haven't been to Tommy's in weeks - which is a big change. I hope the waitresses that we always have are doing okay. I think about if/when the beloved neighborhood institution reopens - maybe I should leave stupid tips, maybe eveyone will? Just drop a hundo on the nice ladies that have watched us have dinner every week for 10 years now.
Here's the rundown -
Esther is working from home but in weird seculsion - because of she works for the tax-man & must be secret.
Brandi is working from home & got excessively sentimental so I figured she was drinking more than usual
Brent is? I think he's essential - Social Security.
Erinn is working from home - we talked a lot about how our jobs are the same.
I am working form home & I've been really busy, actually - everyone else working at home means I'm busy as heck.
Agatha is on spring break. Kind of huh? What a shame. No vacation, no trips. Her work trip to NYC was cancelled & she's just shut up & playing animal crossing.
Jeff Venture is out of work.
Bob is essential & at work at Ford
Brian says the coffee shop just shut down & isn't even doing delivery or pickups anymore. The Warzone is still open & the dude says he won't close it until the national guard shows up. He says he's waiting & hoping they do because he believes that guardsmen are probably MtG addicts anyhow.
Tim is work from home, NASA is somehow essential.
My brother is out of work & probably won't be able to get unemployment either.
CWRU is shut down & they threw all the kids out. The prof on the 3rd floor told me about it on my last bus-ride with her.
We did 2 rounds, 2 full days of conference calling with our salespeople - they're salespeople & so exaggerated & made bold claims - about their situations & their processes - some are claiming no disruptions - some are saying that they dare not drive around for fear of tickets & being turned away. It's not clear what will happen. It's more likely the lack of winter & snow will impact our business more than the halt to road-work - as road work isn't really interrupted - too much - so far.
Heaven - you see, is a place where nothing ever happens.
I'm doing well with the unstructured time, with the open ended obligations & the breathing room - the ability to just be & live peaceably - I'm working on recovering my focus & identity - in a fashion - my self as it exists outside of my accomplishemnts & tasks. My will, you know -what is it. Peace & ease is all I really crave so this is a high point for my levels of personal satisfaction.
