Oct. 7th, 2011 11:23 pmI don't know, it's a day. I worked and then went to get kiddo from school, it was nice. She was in slight trouble at school because she's terrible at paying attention and must be told again and again not to read in her book or write in her notebook. I don't know. We walked down the way and she wanted to ride on my shoulders and I didn't mind. She's four foot six now. I don't know. We went to get hotdogs from the avuncular hotdog chef and his assistant said: "Oh you have such pretty hair!" And I said, thanks I know... Oh you mean her. And the avuncular hotdog chef laughed and laughed and put extra of the good fries on my polish boy. We sat out on the yard and ate and were checking out the band doing their sound check at the grog shop. Down in the B sides you could see they were getting ready for their party - they were setting up cupcakes and we looked down at them. The man wanted to rush and get us some cupcakes but I waved him off- it's fine! It's fine. Thanks man. Then we went to get groceries and came home and messed around with laundry. We talked for a while while doing the wash about how it'll be a full moon and I speculated about why the full moon means so many things. I said - people haven't been living in cities with lights for very long and that maybe the big moon means we're ready to hunt and careful of being hunted by lions and wolves. It was a good talk. Then we went and got slices and some sodapop and sat eating on the stoop while she read comics. While we walked I told her a lot about being attentive and distracted and how your life can be. If you're good at concentrating and enduring boredom you're better off. But then I said- just maybe. Because you'll probably have a better job and do well with others and so on, but you might miss out on the things you imagined and who knows if those things aren't just better anyway? I don't know. I'm banking on the latter, or. Well. Not Banking.
Then we held the door open for some girls who were moving in and then we came up and she watched the super mario brothers super show for a while and I messed around with laundry some more and then I decided I wanted to write some of it down because it's been a really good day, by accident, without trying. It's been great.
