Egyptian-American Christmas! Always a great time. I'm sort of the leader of my generation - oldest anyhow - and true to form - the second I show up I am immediately braced by my cousins - "What did you think of it?" I need no prompting - it's christmas and we're going to talk about Star Wars. My opinion carries a little extra weight because I saw A New Hope in the theater - first run. I saw Jedi in a drive in in (I think) Tupelo Tennessee - but that only means something to me. Really I doubt any of those kids know about a king being born in Tupelo.
The Selfie-Stick that Cousin Lydia got in the exchange was used extensively - Uncle Adel mystified by it couldn't lay it down. Uncle Samir and Aunt Afaf going on about national security - Joshua & Jonathon going on about Accounting. Brother Sam and his new wife are about to have a baby - a little girl - which puts the 2nd Generation of US born Methuselah's at 100% girls. Sammy supposedly is hoping that maybe a doctor made a mistake somewhere - I say no - my preference well known. If you're going to raise people - it's best that you raise girls. Sons! Heck, who needs 'em!

Tremendous feelings about these two - the Eldest of us all. My father and Aunt, they're each others' best friends - how sweet is that? After 73 years?
Agatha is an only child - at least part time - she cleaned the fuck up - because I give presents like I mean it. Viola, a lot of notebooks, sewing kits a drawing tablet input peripheral, Rock tumbler, a few dozen tiny bottles for preserving specimens, an air fern and the pokemon game she wanted.
I got a book - The Martian - which I bet is good based on my experience of the movie. Also this... Bible Tract? Thanks. Mother. Our Daily Bread - my plan is to look at this devotional every day as you're intended to, and see if it makes a bit of sense and also to write about my feelings about it.
